Re-Mind

Re-Mind is an experimental animated short film by artist and animation director Dominica Harrison, currently in production and scheduled for release in 2027.

The film follows Alex, an ordinarily rational biologist who turns to the occult in a desperate attempt to win back an estranged partner. When the ritual summons the deity All-Mind, what begins as an act of desperation becomes a revelation, unearthing the deep-rooted fluidity of Alex's identity and desire.

Combining intaglio printmaking with digital animation, Re-Mind brings Harrison's tactile, handcrafted approach to moving image into an esoteric and otherworldly new work.

The film features artist, musician and writer Cosey Fanni Tutti as the voice of All-Mind, who will also compose the film's score. Alex is voiced by BAFTA-nominated actor Maxine Peake, and the script is co-written with Jon Ware (The Silt Verses, I Am In Eskew).

Re-Mind is produced by Animate Projects and made with the support of the BFI Short Form Animation Fund, awarding National Lottery funding.
