My film 'Illusions' was selected for NEO: Print Prize Award exhibition and won the Jackson's Art Supplies Award.
About the exhibition: international biennial neo:printprize2016. Achieving critical acclaim in its inaugural year, the competition continues to offer a prestigious showcase for contemporary visual artists working within the field of printmaking. The exhibition intends to raise awareness of new trends and directions in printmaking by showcasing excellence and innovation in contemporary printmaking.
This is a solo exhibition of screen prints that were made between 2015 - 2016. All the prints are frames of my animated film 'Illusions' which is done entirely in screen printed medium. To achieve these results, each frame had to be hand drawn, divided into digital separations using software and then screen printed by hand onto sheets of A3 paper. Pages of frames were afterwards scanned in and put together into a moving sequence.
In total I ended up with more than 400 screen prints, some of which have been sold since.
